Uber heads to Costa Del Sol ahead of summer season
Starting this summer Uber will be available in the Costa Del Sol area to help visitors get around so they can have an adventurous holiday.
The uberX product, Uber’s most affordable option, will launch in early June and stretch across the famous white beaches, simplifying the access to that perfect summer tan.
The service will run throughout the year and cover more than 60 kilometres and the region’s most famous cities, including Málaga, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas and Marbella.
Some 12 million tourists visit Costa del Sol every year, making the need for easy access to mobility solutions a crucial aspect.
Over the past three summers more than 150,000 people opened the Uber app around the Costa del Sol and tourists from 138 countries have tried to travel with Uber in the area since January.
An Uber spokesperson said: “With the launch of uberX in time for the busy summer season, we are thrilled to bring on-demand transportation to the Costa del Sol.
“We are committed to being a true partner to the cities of this famous tourist region for the long term.”
